Alumni General Body Meeting at Jalsa 2014

Following are the minutes of the General Body meeting of Talim ul Islam college Alumni Association USA held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 7 pm in the Meeting Room at Jalsa Gah , Harrisburg.

The meeting was presided by the TICAA USA, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif Kahn and attended by over FIFTY members. General Secretary of the association presented a report on the activities of the alumni during 2013-14. Main points of the report and decisions taken in the meeting are mentioned below for you information.

A.

1) One of the objectives of the Association has been to establish funds for the needy students to continue the legacy of our Alma Mater. A scheme was proposed and submitted by Dr Safi Ullah to Nazar sahib Taleem Rabwah of yearly amount of $ 15,000.

2) Hazrat Khalifatul Maisih Alkhamis ABA has approved grant of annual Scholarships and Loans for students in Pakistan to be funded by TICAA USA for next 10 years.

3) Accordingly during the year in progress primary goal before the association is to collect $ 15,000 as education scholarship, to honor our commitment.

4) Membership fee $ 50 is due for the current year.

5) Estimated expenditure based on membership fee was present by the General Secretary, since the Fiancé secretary was not able to attend the meeting due to some personal commitments. Total income on account of the annual membership fee was $2080 for year 2013-14.

6) The proposed budget of the association for 2014-2015 is as follows:

Income : Opening Balance from year 2013-2014= $ 2080.00

Estimated Expenses:

Website operation = $ 500.00
Working committee expenditure = $ 300.00
Preservation of Mementos = $ 100.00
Meetings and Functions = $ 400.00
Office Expenses and Misc = $ 200.00

Total = $ 1500.00

B.

FOLLOWING PROPOSALS WERE APPROVED BY THE GENERAL BODY:

1) The President of the association may constitute a Scholarship Committee to prepare a detailed plan for the collection of funds for Scholarships and loans offer, which have been approved by Hazoor ABA and also to propose the ways and means to ensure the successful operation/monitoring of the plan.

2) The budget proposal for year 2014-15 was approved.

The meeting was closed at 8:00 pm with thanks by the chair and silent prayer.
